The Book Manufacturers Institute (BMI) has elected WORZALLA CEO Jim Fetherston to its Board of Directors. Also newly elected are Ted Greene of GP2 Technologies, Mark Levin of Hewlett Packard, and Suzanne Wiersma of Wallaceburg Bookbinding.

Fetherston, 59, has a long career in the graphic arts industry with a background in sales, marketing, and general management. He has held executive positions with RR Donnelley and Hess Print Solutions before joining WORZALLA in 2011 as President and CEO.

“I’m honored to serve on the BMI Board along with other book industry leaders dedicated to the preservation of the printed book,” stated Fetherston. “The definition of print has changed so much in recent years, and the Book Manufacturers Institute is a compass for our industry as we look to the future.”

The Book Manufacturers Institute (BMI) has been the leading nationally recognized trade association of the book manufacturing industry since 1933. BMI members annually produce the great majority of books ordered by the U.S. book publishing industry. Based in Washington, DC, BMI provides an intra-industry communications link among book manufacturers, publishers, suppliers and governmental bodies.

WORZALLA, a Stevens Point, Wisconsin-based book manufacturing company, has been in business since 1892. WORZALLA manufactures books for publishers nationwide, and is especially well-known in the juvenile book market.
